Purpose of Life Ministries Holds Celebration on Sunday During the Super Bowl
INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ — Purpose of Life Ministries will be having a celebration during the Super Bowl.
The public is invited to Sunday’s service. The doors open at 4 p.m., followed by a tailgate party at 5 p.m. and game time at 6 p.m. Sunday’s worship experience will be at 7:45 am and 11:15 am.
Rev. David Greene, senior pastor, Purpose of Life Church, 3705 Kessler Blvd North Drive, Indianapolis, said the church is allowed to call it a Super Bowl celebration, unlike past years.
“During a previous Super Bowl, we received notification from the NFL to halt our gathering,” Greene said. “The NFL implied that it had a problem with the venue and medium that local churches conduct ministry. We want to save souls by any means necessary: football, traditional service, street ministry – it doesn’t matter. All we want to do is increase fellowship with believers and demonstrate true love to people that don’t know Christ. Simply, it’s our mission. It’s our call.”
