RONCALLI SOPHOMORE FEAGANS SELECTED FOR YOUTH LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE

INDIANAPOLIS – November 29, 2010 – The United Way of Central Indiana has a youth focused civic participation program entitled Youth Leadership Initiative (YLI).  The program trains high school students in leadership skills and then provides them with opportunities to serve on boards or committees of nonprofit agencies in central Indiana.

Each year only 25 students total, from Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Marion and Morgan Counties are selected. The YLI is in its 16^th year of operation, and Roncalli has a rich history of students being selected to be part of YLI.

Roncalli High School Sophomore Mandy Feagans was selected to be part of the 2010-2011 Youth Leadership Initiative.  To be selected for the program, Mandy had to complete a thorough application process that included letters of recommendation, as well as an interview process.
