Sherlock Holmes on Stage, Screen, and Radio to Be Celebrated at From Gillette to Brett III
BLOOMINGTON, Ind., June 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — On the weekend of November
11-13, 2011, Sherlock Holmes fans and film fans will gather at Indiana
University for a major film festival celebrating the detective’s exploits on
stage, screen, television, and radio.
“Sherlock’s dramatic career is impressive,” says Steven Doyle, of Wessex Press,
the book publishing imprint sponsoring the conference. “For instance, no other
character in fiction has been adapted more often for the big screen than
Sherlock Holmes. At last count there have been over 250 films featuring the
Great Detective.”
From Gillette to Brett III will feature rare Sherlockian films, movie
memorabilia and book vendors, and a star-studded, international roster of
speakers, presenters, and events, including the 35th Anniversary Screening of
The Seven-Per-Cent Solution, hosted by Nicholas Meyer.
The conference will be held on the beautiful campus of Indiana University at the
Indiana Memorial Union. The campus is located 45 minutes south of Indianapolis
in Bloomington, Indiana.
Registration is now open and available by visiting the Wessex Press website at
