announced that it has filed a Registration Statement on Form S-1 with the U.S.
Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) relating to a proposed public
offering of shares of its common stock (the “Offering”).

Remy International intends to use the net proceeds from the Offering for general
corporate purposes, which may include debt reduction, acquisition of one or more
companies or businesses and product and geographic expansion.
