Press Ganey Honors Nation’s Best Health Care Organizations for Quality Improvement

announced its elite class of 2010 award-winning health care organizations,
including recipients of the first-ever Success Story Awards for clinical
achievement, as well as the prestigious Press Ganey Summit Award.

This year for the first time, Press Ganey recognized a clinical category of
Success Story Award winners, naming three recipients. Six other organizations
also received the award for patient satisfaction initiatives. The Success Story
Award recognizes clients whose innovative approach to overcoming challenges has

Seventy-eight organizations were honored with a Summit Award for achieving and
sustaining the highest level of excellence in patient satisfaction. In addition,
five Partner of Choice Award winners were recognized – including Palmetto Health
Baptist Easley of Easley, S.C., which won the award for the second year in a row
after being the only recipient in 2009.

Almost 2,000 health care leaders from across the country have gathered in
Florida at the Press Ganey conference to discuss, learn and share best practices
on some of the key issues related to health care quality improvement. Attendees
also have an opportunity to hear from leaders of the award-winning organizations
and take back practical improvement tips to their own organizations.

The Top Improver Award recognizes organizations that continuous improvement over
