Hoosiers for Conservative Senate Endorses Richard Mourdock for United States Senate

GREENFIELD, Ind., Sept. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — “We are pleased to
announce that the HFCS board has enthusiastically endorsed Richard Mourdock in
the GOP Primary for US Senate from Indiana,” announced co-founders Monica Boyer
and Greg Fettig following the HFCS TEA Parties of Indiana Convention in
Greenfield Indiana this morning.

Treasurer Richard Mourdock to represent them as their next Indiana US Senator.

complacency towards career politicians who put their and their party’s interests
over their constituents and country’s is over,” said HFCS Co-Chair Greg Fettig.

HFCS began their journey of endorsing a constitutional conservative to represent
them in the United States Senate with a caucus of TEA party and liberty group
leaders in January of this year. At that caucus, Boyer, Fettig and other leaders
who had formed HFCS laid out a plan to rally TEA groups around a single
candidate running in the GOP 2012 primary for the Senate seat for Indiana.

“TEA party folks were tired of Senator Lugar constantly moving the conservative
goal posts to the liberal end of the playing field,” Boyer explained. “Through
HFCS and our meeting in January, TEA party groups spoke loudly that we believe
it is time for a fresh voice, a real conservative voice to speak for Indiana in
the US Senate.”

“Mourdock has spent this past year visiting with TEA and GOP groups from one end
of our state to the other. TEA party folks are excited to support a candidate
who understands the limited form of government that our federal Constitution
requires, and that government’s responsibility is to protect our freedom and
liberty. When it comes to economic issues, such as TARP or the continuing
bailouts where the federal government picks winners and losers, our conservative
principles do not line up with Senator Lugar’s votes. Mr. Mourdock earned our
trust with his record opposing such actions by the Federal Government.”

issues, or his record of approving liberal justices to our Supreme Court. When
