Hill-Rom Appoints Scott Jeffers as Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain

BATESVILLE, Ind., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Hill-Rom (NYSE: HRC) today
announced the appointment of Scott Jeffers as Senior Vice President, Global
Supply Chain. Currently serving as General Manager for Global Lean Enterprise at
GE Healthcare, Jeffers will officially join Hill-Rom on September 13, 2010. In
addition to his responsibilities as a key member of Hill-Rom’s executive team,
Jeffers will be responsible for all aspects of Hill-Rom’s global manufacturing
and supply chain operations. Jeffers replaces Mark Baron, who is leaving
Hill-Rom for another position.

During his 11-year career at GE, Jeffers held positions of increasing
responsibility in GE Healthcare, a $16 billion division of GE. Jeffers’
positions included General Manager of Global Operations for their Life Support
Solutions business and General Manager of Global Sourcing and Lean Initiatives
for GE Healthcare’s Clinical Systems division. He also had management
responsibility for Customer Operations and various manufacturing facilities.
Before joining GE, Jeffers was an officer in the United States Air Force,
serving in research and systems acquisition roles, and as a project manager for
advanced energy systems with NASA and the Department of Energy.
