Deborah Johnson Brings Experience to GM Position in Connecticut

MERRILLVILLE, Ind., May 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Joining the White Lodging team
as General Manager at the Homewood Suites in Wallingford, Connecticut is Deborah
Johnson. Originally from Wallingford, Johnson says she is glad to be back and
very happy to join White Lodging. “This is a great organization to work for, and

With more than 18 years in the hospitality industry, Johnson began her career
with Marriott International. Her first position was as a Sale Support Secretary
in the company’s Avon, Connecticut based Healthcare Division. From there, she
moved on work as the Division’s Administrative Assistant for the Senior Vice
President of Market Development, the Communications Manager and the Director of
Market Analysis.

In 1999, Johnson began her career in the operations side of the hospitality
industry when she began working at the Marriott Ranch Bed & Breakfast in Hume,
Virginia, which is located on 4200 acres in the foothills of Virginia’s Blue
Ridge Mountains. At this property, Johnson first was employed as the Office
Manager and was then promoted to Business Manager where she was responsible for
functions such as human resources, accounting, tech support among others.
