Centerplate Powers up for Gen Con Indy

INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Centerplate, the largest hospitality
partner to North America’s premier sports stadiums, entertainment venues and
convention centers, is serving as hospitality host for Gen Con Indy, the
nation’s largest annual consumer fantasy, sci-fi and adventure gaming
convention, at the Indiana Convention Center August 4 through the 7th. The
company expects to serve over 30,000 during the event.

For this special event, Centerplate has created tailored menus for the general
attendees and associated private events alike. Over the course of the convention
in 2010, Centerplate served over 6,500 sandwiches, 5,500 pizza slices and almost
3,000 hot dogs and bratwursts.

Menu Highlights

For this weekend’s Gen Con Indy, Centerplate will be offering several fun new
menu items specifically tailored to complement the festive atmosphere of the
show:

Stacked Dragon Hearth Sandwich – sliced turkey, sliced red tomato, Parmesan
cheese, Caesar dressing on focaccia

Roman Gladiator Sandwich – sliced ham, Genoa salami, capicola, pepperoni, crisp
romaine, provolone, Italian dressing on ciabatta

Wizard of Darkness Sandwich – sliced roast beef, Cheddar Cheese, roasted red
peppers, horseradish mustard on paesano

Vegan of Fury Sandwich – roasted mushrooms, eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash,
tomato, Provolone, red pepper, hummus and pesto on ciabatta
