Aspen Dental Employees Give Back This Holiday Season
SYRACUSE, N.Y., Dec. 23, 2010 /PRNewswire/ — More than 800 employees
representing 89 Aspen Dental offices from Maine to Oregon celebrated the 2010
holiday season by generously donating their time, dollars and talents to Aspen
Dental’s Creating Holiday Smiles initiative. Held in conjunction with community
service organizations across the Aspen Dental network, Creating Holiday Smiles
is designed to bring smiles to the communities in which Aspen Dental employees
and patients live and work.
Aspen Dental employees chose a wide variety of community service projects this
year, from supporting local Salvation Army food drives to serving meals at
holiday soup kitchens to donating toys to children in need through organizations
like Toys for Tots.
Several offices focused their efforts on older adults. The Aspen Dental team in
Lebanon, Tennessee, opted to deliver 30 fleece blankets to a local nursing home,
while Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, team members spent time giving local nursing home
residents manicures, playing games, singing carols and delivering poinsettias.
The Aspen Dental office in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, chose to give the gift of a new
smile, providing complimentary care for a patient in need. And Mt. Pleasant
didn’t forget our men and women in uniform, sending packages to troops stationed
away from home.
In addition, approximately 60 Aspen Dental offices have elected to make
donations to Feeding America and the Oral Cancer Foundation. Those donations
will be matched by Aspen Dental Management, Inc., which provides comprehensive
business support services, non-clinical personnel, facilities and equipment to
Aspen Dental practices.
