Hospitality Leader Centerplate Returns to the Indiana State Museum

INDIANAPOLIS, May 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Centerplate, the hospitality partner
to North America’s premier entertainment venues, convention centers and sports
stadiums, announced today that it will again serve as hospitality partner to the
Indiana State Museum in Indianapolis.

The company returns as the museum’s catering partner following a year’s absence.
At the museum’s invitation, Centerplate was able to transition its services back
into the museum within a month’s time preventing any disruption in service for
visitors.

In addition to hosting catered events, Centerplate operates two restaurants in
the museum.

— The Canal Cafe and Terrace: a family-friendly eating space featuring a
casual menu of deli sandwiches, pizza and salads with a welcoming
outdoor patio overlooking the canal.
— The L.S. Ayres Tea Room, offering an elegant lunch experience, is a
historically accurate re-creation of the original L.S. Ayres Tea Room,
which originally delighted generations of Hoosiers with its charming
ambiance and clever menu from 1905 to 1990. Centerplate’s modern
incarnation features both contemporary fare and classics from the
original menu including Chicken Velvet Soup and the children’s Hobo
Lunch.

“The Indiana State Museum is truly a unique hospitality location,” said Lyn
Mayer, Centerplate’s Regional Vice President. “Nowhere else in Indianapolis can
one entertain guests while surrounded by Indiana history, ever-changing touring
exhibits and the White River State Park as your backdrop. From weddings to gala
events to a casual lunch in one of our two restaurants, Centerplate is proud to
work with the Indiana State Museum to provide extraordinary guest experiences.”

In addition to the museum, Centerplate serves several accounts in Indianapolis
including the Indianapolis Zoo, the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil
Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts. Recent new client-partners include the
University of Notre Dame, the Woodruff Arts Center, one of the nation’s most
prestigious art centers in Atlanta, Georgia; the Cobo Conference/Exhibition
Center in the heart of downtown Detroit; the Baltimore Convention Center, and
the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, among others.
