White Lodging Taps Weaver as GM for Austin Properties

MERRILLVILLE, Ind., Jan. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — John Randall, regional vice
president with White Lodging recently announced the appointment of Shane Weaver
as general manager of the Courtyard/Residence Inn by Marriott Austin Downtown.

Adjacent to Austin’s Convention Center, these two properties combined have
almost 450 rooms and suites and are located in the heart of the city’s business
district.

Very familiar with the Marriott brand, Weaver’s first position with the company
was in 1989 when he served as a front desk supervisor at a hotel in Atlanta.
From there, he moved to the Texas market working in various positions in
properties in Houston and San Antonio.

“Shane brings more than 20 years of sales and operations experience to his new
role,” Randall shared. “He is truly an asset to White Lodging.”

Weaver’s career with White Lodging first took him to the Louisville Marriott
Downtown where he was the pre-opening director of marketing. Promoted to the
cluster director of marketing for White Lodging’s seven Louisville properties,
Weaver was most recently the general manager of the Springhill Suites/Fairfield
Inn by Marriott Downtown Louisville.

Married, Weaver has two daughters and a son.
