White Lodging Continues Growth with Groundbreaking of Hyatt Place Austin/Downtown

ground today on a 296-room Hyatt Place hotel, which is slated to open in Spring
2013 and will be a joint venture with an affiliate of Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
One of the fastest growing independent hospitality, development and management
companies in the country, White Lodging recently celebrated the addition of its
157th hotel and has an ambitious growth plan to add an additional 60 properties
– including the 1,003 room Marriott Convention Hotel — to their management
portfolio by the end of 2015. Hyatt Place Austin/Downtown will add 250
construction jobs and 95 permanent jobs, totaling 1,030 White Lodging associates
in Austin.
