Vertellus Establishes New Applications Development Research Center
INDIANAPOLIS, June 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Vertellus Specialties Inc.
(“Vertellus” or “the Company”), a leading specialty chemicals company, continues
to pursue an aggressive growth strategy by establishing a more centralized
Applications Development Research Center in Ledgewood, NJ, close to its
Parsippany office. The new lab will enable the Company to pursue opportunities
that have recently emerged in the coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers,
plastics additives, and personal care markets for several of Vertellus’ core
products, including Polycin® polyols, ZeMac® copolymers, and Citroflex® esters.
The new, centralized lab will be close to Vertellus’ commercial team and will
facilitate strong program management and technical support. Vertellus’ team
charged with developing new applications, under the direction of Application
Development Director Jerry Reddinger, will be located together in the new
facility, enhancing the cross-fertilization of ideas, the team’s ability to
leverage technical knowledge effectively, and management’s ability to provide
direction, coaching and mentoring.
“Applications development expertise is a critical component to market success,”
said Jeremy Steinfink, President of Vertellus Specialty Materials, a division of
Vertellus Specialties. “We are embarking on an exciting path to create world
class application development expertise that will support our global growth
strategy.”
The move to the new facility will occur in the next two months. The lab will be
fully operational in late July.
