Lynn Dersley Moves to Chicago as Cluster Director of Sales at Midway Complex

MERRILLVILLE, Ind., June 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Shortly after graduating from
Michigan State University with a degree in hospitality business, Lynn Smith
Dersley started her career at White Lodging. After working in various positions
at the Marriott in downtown Indianapolis during the past six years, Dersley has
moved to the Midway Hotel Complex in Chicago where she will be the new Cluster
Director of Sales.

While at the Indianapolis property, Dersley started as the Event & Operations
Manager and a Manager in Training. She was then appointed Front Desk Manager and
followed this with a two-year stretch as the Cluster Group Sales Manager. In
this position, she was responsible for sales at the Courtyard by Marriott at the
Capital, the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown, the Residence Inn on the Canal and
the Indianapolis Marriott. It was also during this period that Dersley was a
winner of the Marriott Chairman’s Circle Award and was a part of the group named
White Lodging Sales Team of the Year.

In 2008, Dersley became Business Travel Manager at the Marriott and, until her
recent move to Chicago, she was the property’s Senior Sales Manager. While
Senior Sales Manager, Dersley accumulated a number of awards including being
named a President’s Circle Winner, receiving the White Lodging Sales Team of the
Year award for the second time, and being nominated for Sales Manager of the
Year and Community Leader of the Year.
