Hopwood Moves to Assume GM Duties at SpringHill Suites in Carmel

MERRILLVILLE, Ind., May 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Jamie Hopwood, a White Lodging
associate since 2005, has been named the General Manager at the SpringHill
Suites by Marriott in Carmel, Indiana. Hopwood was most recently the General
Manager at the Courtyard by Marriott in Hammond, Indiana and a three-time White
Lodging Excalibur winner for excellence in guest scores, employee relations and
special achievement.

“My goal at SpringHill Suites is to effectively manage a great team that will
add to the overall value of the hotel, while teaching and developing the staff
so they are well-suited for opportunities in the future,” Hopwood said when
accepting the position.

A graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a degree in restaurant and
hotel management, Hopwood’s first position was as a Front Office Manager at the
Marriott Kingsgate Conference Center in Cincinnati. He then assumed the
Assistant General Manager role at the Residence inn by Marriott, also in
Cincinnati.

For the next two years, Hopwood was the General Manager and Operations Manager
at the Inn at Beaver Creek, Trappers Cabin and The Pines Lodge, luxurious
mountain properties in Beaver Creek, Colorado.
