Gustin to Assume GM Duties at Courtyard by Marriott Collegeville
MERRILLVILLE, Ind., Jan. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — White Lodging employee Jon
Gustin has been appointed general manager at the Courtyard by Marriott
Collegeville, Pennsylvania. The hotel, one of four Pennsylvania properties
managed by White Lodging, has 132 rooms and is owned by Apple Real Estate
Investment Trust.
A 2007 graduate of Michigan State University, Gustin was most recently the
general manager of the White Lodging’s Residence Inn by Marriott
Detroit/Pontiac, a position he was promoted to after serving as the operations
manager at the same property.
Gustin began his career in the hospitality industry while still in college. “I
was studying Hospitality Business and was the front desk supervisor at a
full-service hotel,” he said.
Since joining White Lodging, Gustin has served on several task forces charged
with the mission of training associates on the history of Marriott and hotel
operations as well as reorganizing an entire property’s operations.
