Five Dorel Juvenile Group Booster Seats Earn Highest Rating From the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety

COLUMBUS, Ind., Oct. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — The Insurance Institute for
Highway Safety (IIHS) awarded five Dorel Juvenile Group booster seats its
highest rating in its annual booster seat status report entitled “Take Your
Pick.” The Cosco Pronto(TM), Eddie Bauer Auto Booster, Safety 1st Boost Air
Protect®, Safety 1st S1 Rumi(TM) Air and the Maxi-Cosi Rodi(TM) XR are all “Best
Bets.” The Maxi-Cosi Rodi earned the Institute’s “Good Bet” rating. The seats
are named “Best Bets” because according to the report “They correctly position a
vehicle safety belt on a typical 4 to 8 year old in almost any car, minivan or
SUV.”

“At Dorel Juvenile Group our focus is on safety and children,” said Dorel
Juvenile Group President and CEO Dave Taylor. “Advanced protection, reliability
and value are built into everything we do and the ‘Best Bet’ rating, for our
seats, confirms our commitment to families.”

Several of Dorel’s “Best Bets” come with Air Protect®, which is advanced side
impact protection. This revolutionary technology provides a system to minimize
forces on a child’s head in the event of a crash. Additionally, the S1 Rumi(TM)
Air comes with the FlexTech(TM) energy management system which absorbs and
mitigates external force or impact away from a child for more support and
protection in a crash.

Dorel is the largest manufacturer of car seats in the world. The vast majority
of seats sold in North America are researched, designed, engineered and molded
at its facility in Columbus, Indiana. The commitment to building the most
advanced car seats can be seen at the Dorel Technical Center for Child Safety.
It features specialized research and design facilities, including computational
engineering, environmental lab testing, advanced side impact testing
capabilities and three independent crash test sleds for both frontal and side
impact testing and evaluation.
