Clark Promoted at Carmel Cluster

MERRILLVILLE, Ind., July 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Ashley Clark, formerly the
Cluster Sales Manager for the Residence Inn & SpringHill Suites by Marriott in
Carmel, Indiana, was recently promoted to the Director of Sales position at the
same property cluster.

Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality and tourism management from
Purdue University Calumet, Clark joined White Lodging in 2005. Her first
position was working in the food and beverage department. She was promoted to
Front Desk Supervisor at the same property before accepting a position at the
Marriott Chicago/Southeast to learn the select service/extended stay concept.

In 2009, Clark became the Operations Manager at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by
Marriott in Merrillville, Indiana. Slightly more than a year later, she was
promoted to the Operations Manager of the Residence Inn by Marriott located in
the north-suburban Indianapolis city of Carmel, Indiana.

When she was named Cluster Sales Manager for the Residence Inn & SpringHill
Suites by Marriott, Clark’s responsibilities included generating group and
corporate business and maintaining client relations. Now, as Director of Sales
for the properties, she will be responsible for all top accounts as well as
training the incoming Sales Manager.
