Carrier’s Automated Logic Corporation Acquires J & T Systems, Inc.

KENNESAW, Ga., Sept. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Carrier Corp.’s Automated Logic
Corporation (ALC), a leading provider of innovative building management
solutions that maximize energy efficiency while ensuring occupant comfort, has
acquired J & T Systems, Inc. (JTS), an independent ALC controls contractor with
offices in Muncie, Indianapolis and Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Terms of the deal were
not disclosed. Automated Logic Corp. is a subsidiary of Carrier Corp., the
world’s leader in high technology heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration
solutions and a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

JTS designs, installs and services building control systems for a wide range of
customer segments, including schools, colleges and universities, government and
