Bret Jones Newly Hired by White Lodging to Head Up Property in Tampa, Florida

MERRILLVILLE, Ind., May 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Bret Jones, who has 12 years of
hospitality industry experience, has joined White Lodging as the General Manager
of the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott in Tampa.

In making the announcement, Regional Vice President Jean Smith said, “I am very
pleased to have Bret on the White Lodging team. He brings a wealth of hotel
operations experience to the hotel.”

A 1999 graduate of Fort Lewis (Colorado) College with a bachelor’s degree in
Hospitality Management, Jones first entered the industry as an intern at the
Sheraton Tamarron Resort in Durango, Colorado. He then moved to Florida where,
for the next six years, he worked in various positions at the Marriott Suites on
Sand Key in Clearwater.

From this position, he took on the Assistant General Manager and Director of
Food & Beverage duties at the Embassy Suites Westshore in Tampa. He then became
the Sheraton Downtown Tampa Riverwalk’s Assistant General Manager and Task Force
General Manager. As the Task Force General Manager, he worked in trying to turn
around distressed properties for his employer, Crescent Hotels & Resorts.

In 2009, he moved to New Jersey where he was the Director of Operation for the
Marriott Mt. Laurel and CocoKey Water Resorts. Coming back to Tampa in the
summer of 2010, he most recently was employed by the Front Burner Restaurant
Group as the Manager of the Grillsmith New American Cuisine restaurant.
