Batchik Takes on GM Position at Holiday Inn Express Midway

MERRILLVILLE, Ind., May 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — White Lodging is pleased to
announce the appointment of Mark Batchik as the general manager of the Holiday
Inn Express located at Chicago’s Midway Airport.

A seasoned hospitality professional, Batchik received his Bachelor of Arts in
hotel and restaurant management from Eastern Michigan University. With
experience in all aspects of hotel management, he has worked in properties
ranging between 200 to more than 450 rooms.

Prior to making the move to the Holiday Inn Express Midway, Batchik was employed
by Driftwood Hospitality where he served as assistant general manager at the
Crowne Plaza hotels first in Cleveland and most recently in Worcester,
Massachusetts. While in Worcester, Batchik was instrumental in improving the
hotel’s overall guest satisfaction scores.

Batchik began his career with Atlanta-based Lodgian, Inc. as a front office
manager at the Hilton Detroit/Troy. From there he worked for the company
assisting at-risk properties correct areas of concern and focus on guest service
improvement.
