Aldie Warnock Joins Midwest ISO as Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs

CARMEL, Ind., March 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — The Midwest ISO announces today that
Loyd “Aldie” Warnock, formerly Vice President of External Affairs at Allegheny
Energy, has been appointed Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs
for the Midwest ISO. In this position, Mr. Warnock will oversee all state and
federal regulatory activities for the regional transmission organization (RTO),
including working with the Organization of Midwest ISO States, a non-profit,
self-governing organization of representatives from each state with regulatory
jurisdiction over entities participating in the Midwest ISO. He will report
directly to President and CEO John R. Bear.

Warnock is a veteran utility executive with extensive understanding of the
mission of regional transmission organizations and well versed in current public
policy issues such as resource adequacy, demand response and the integration of
state mandates for renewable energy. While at Allegheny he oversaw the utility’s
interactions with members of Congress, governors and state legislative
leadership. He also served as the primary liaison with the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission (FERC), PJM and the Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and
West Virginia utility commissions and commissioners.

Warnock will direct the Midwest ISO’s policy development for all regulatory and
legislative matters. He also will serve as the RTO’s primary liaison for
activities with the FERC, federal and state elected officials and policymakers
including the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners.

Governmental and Regulatory Affairs at Mirant Corporation in Atlanta, Ga. and
Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Reliant Energy in Houston, Texas.
